It has been over two and a half years of giggling, sharing, learning, making new friends, having new experiences, going places, career changes, and the basic ups and downs of life. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be invited into your homes and your lives. We really do feel as though we have “Girlfriends” all around the globe. It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to all of this.
There are many reasons for the change but mostly it was the distance that made it hard for the three of us to get together and schedules that made it difficult for us to coordinate film dates. Leah’s research for the treatment of Leukemia has taken a dramatically positive turn so she is spending a lot more time in the lab on top of the fact that she is a wife and mother of two very active young boys. Johanna’s professional photography plus juggling the schedule of two active young daughters has her in the constant “Mom Taxi” mode. Donna also has a busy family and has been spending a substantial amount of time designing her products, teaching and working on other new “top secret” stuff.
Though many of you may not know this, we did all our own film editing, paid for most of the prizes and also for the postage for mailing out the prizes to the winners. This on top of the cost of keeping the website and blog going were a reoccurring expense that we couldn’t justify any longer. We LOVE doing the filming, we LOVE connecting with our “cyber-Girlfriends” but when we discussed the affect on our families, our only choice was to step away from the Girlfriends for a while.
You can still connect with each of us on facebook and we will continue to do our best to get together every now and then but the blog will be ending and regularly scheduled videos will be going as well. The YouTube account will remain open so if we get new videos, that is where you will be able to find us.
We wish you the very best and we are so grateful to have shared this portion of our journey with you.
Thanks for watching!
Leah, Johanna & Donna
I only recently discovered your videos on youtube. It was maybe around two weeks ago and it was just so fun and interesting to watch that I would view several episodes each time I sat in front of the computer. And I just saw the last one and came to this website to find your farewell message. It just broke my heart. But I wanted to say thanks to all of you. You are an inspiration. And though being here in the Philippines limits me in terms of the supplies and equipment available to me, because of you guys I know that my creativity will see me past any of these limitations. Good luck to all of your endeavors. Thanks again for everything! :) http://melanie-bluemonday.blogspot.com/

Thank you all for being so generous with your time and talent. You three ROCK!!! I hope I'll see you around town and on YouTube. I've been seeing a lot more of Donna's stuff at my LSS and gobbling it up! I'm planning on FINALLY getting the distress it all during the SoCal ShopHop -- if I can find someone to watch the kiddos for a couple hours : ) Leah, I love seeing all your challenges at Scrapbooks, Etc. and will keep a keen eye out for new videos on your blog and YouTube. I'm so glad to hear your leukemia research is bearing fruit. That's SUCH important work! You GO GIRL!!! Johanna, hopefully I'll be able to take a class of yours or Donna's sometime in the near future -- again, if I can ever pawn these three kids off on anyone for a couple hours (just kidding)!! He, he... Thanks again for all the good times, the laughs and the great creative tips and inspiration!

Oh this is so sad! I want to cry but i'm so happy that you're all busy doing different things and succeeding in it, no less. I hope to see y'll soon for a video once in a while. I SO enjoyed watching all your vids and it's one of the few vids of 'famous' ladies that i REALLY enjoyed. I've learned so much from you ladies and i'll one day master Donna's flowers. Just know, you've left a great impact on me and so many other ladies.
good Luck and THANK YOU!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your time, your talent and your lives with us. You each have been an inspiration to me, I've used ideas from the videos on many different projects. I can't even begin to say how much I'll miss the videos and all the wonderful ideas you presented.
It may be a sad farewell, but it is also a happy beginning for all of you, and us too! It sounds like your lives are so full of important and exciting events. I know God will bless each one of you as you move on with the new avenues being opened to you. It will be interesting watching how God uses you and blesses you along the way.
You'll always have a friend here, just outside of Philadelphia, PA, so if you're ever in the neighborhood and want to get a cheesesteak, drop me a line. :)
